CT-X series
All four keyboard models from the CT-X line - CT-X5000, CT-X3000, CT-X800 and CT-X700 - boast the new AiX* Sound Source, leveraging expertise that CASIO accumulated in developing sound sources for digital pianos. The new sound source reproduces the characteristic sound of acoustic instruments and is eight times more powerful than comparable precursor models in similar price ranges. A special focus during development was the natural sound behaviour of acoustic instruments such as pianos, strings, wind instruments and drums. Furthermore the brand new audio-system of CT-X5000 and CT-X3000 creates an impressively powerful sound.
More features of the new CT-X700 and CT-X800 are: 600 tones, 195 rhythms, synchro stop rhythm controller, tap tempo function und registration freeze button. Furthermore, the CT-X800 is equipped with a USB-to-device port and a pitch bend wheel.
The models CT-X5000 and CT-X3000 have 800 tones, 235 rhythms and numerous features to realize own song ideas and arrangements such as a tone-editor, a pattern sequencer and a phrase recorder with four pads.
The CT-X700 (RRP 249.00 €) will be available from the middle of February 2018 and the CT-X800 (RRP 299.00 €) will be available from the middle of March 2018 in specialist shops. The market entry and price of the two top models CT-X3000 and CT-X5000 have not yet been determined.

CELVIANO AP-470
The new AP-470 from the CELVIANO series provides both new haptics as well as a completely new design. Even the keyboard cover was redesigned, and all controls were combined and are now located on the side panel. The AP-470 has 22 tones, including tones that reproduce the sound of two different grand pianos.
Like its precursor model, the AP-470 has an openable lid. Other features are: Acoustic Simulator with damper resonance, string resonance, lid-simulator, key off and key action noise simulators. Furthermore, it is possible to control the piano via the free &qout;Chordana Play for Pianos&qout; app with a tablet or smartphone**. The whole package is rounded off with a volume-sync equalizer, headphone mode and an improved 40 W speaker system.
The market entry in Europe and the price of the AP-470 will be announced at the earliest possible date.

  • Launch of the new free app "Chordana Play". Further info at www.chordana-play.eu
  • More information available at www.casio-music.com

Norderstedt, Germany, April 4th, 2017. At this year's Musikmesse in Frankfurt, CASIO presents its new standard keyboards CTK-3500, CTK-2500 and CTK-1500, as well as the lighted keys keyboards LK-265 and LK-135. All new models are equipped with the „Dance Music Mode“ which makes it easy to create own music and mix it with music styles like House, Dance and EDM. Addtionally, the „Dance Music Mode“ features four phrase patterns, four different sound effects, and the Build-Up Play function which gives selfmade tracks their finishing touch.

The CTK-2500 and CTK-1500 are, like their predecessors CTK-2400 and CTK-1300, ideal for beginners and assist users with the „Lesson Lite“ learning system. The LK-135 with key lighting system provides an ideal start on how to play the keyboard as well. Equipped with 400 sounds and over 100 rhythms, the CTK-3500 and the LK-265 are perfect for a bit more advanced players. With the "Step-Up-Lesson" learning system, both models are ideal tools for keyboard practice.

Ideal supplement for more fun while learning: The "Chordana Play" app
The keyboards CTK-3500, CTK-2500 and LK-265 can be connected with the new "Chordana Play" app, which was developed by CASIO and is available for iOS and Android since March, by using a smartphone, tablet or smart devices. The free app assists beginners in learning how to play a keyboard and enables advanced users to expand their repertoire and add Standard MIDI files to their music library.

The app is easy to use: If the keyboard is played while the app is connected, the user can see in real time which keys are to be pressed to match the current piece of music with the Piano-Roll display. Depending on the keyboard, the lighted key function can also be used to support the learning process. 50 Play-along songs are included in the "Chordana Play" app. All information on the app can be found at www.chordana-play.eu.

Visitors of Musikmesse Frankfurt can find CASIO at hall 9.0/B20.

Alongside the Diapason d`Or award in 2015 and the English Music Industry Award (MIA) in 2016, this is the third award in a row for the GP-500BP.

The iF Design Awards are called once a year by iF International Forum Design GmbH, based in Germany, and are internationally recognized as a mark of excellence in industrial product design. Entries are carefully judged not only for their design features, but also for their quality, price, and environmental performance. 58 design experts selected the winning products for the iF Design Award 2017 from more than 5,500 submissions from 59 countries around the world. The award ceremony took place on Friday, March 10th 2017, at the BMW-World in Munich in the presence of 2.000 selected guests from the fields of politics, industry, business and media.

The GP-500BP is a digital piano that delivers an experience like a grand piano, throughout its tone, keys, and playing comfort. The piano features the AiR Grand Sound Source, which was developed through extensive research and analysis of the tonal quality and distinctiveness of the greatest pianos in history. The sound source, which delivers beautiful sound and rich reverberation just like a grand piano, includes the Berlin Grand, which was jointly developed with Bechstein. Another feature is the Natural Grand Hammer Action Keyboard made from wooden materials, which delivers the same mechanical hammer action as a grand piano to deliver superlatively fluid and sensitive touch. With a top board that can be opened to allow a glimpse of the hammers, the piano achieves a hybrid design concept that integrates acoustic tradition with digital technology.
